Anyone else sick of being bombarded with end of year donation requests?

The only one I've actually signed up to donate to is Alan Grayson - I'm giving him $25/month for the next 11 months - only because he's a friend of mine and I believe in him.

Probably the only other one I want to give to right now is Al Franken for cutting off Joe LIEberman at the knees the other day on the Senate floor with that wonderful line: "I object".

2. We give a lot of money to a lot of organizations

I always chuckle when I get a "free" calendar for the next year from an organization which we have given a hundred bucks to and then about a month later we get the "we hope you got your calendar" letter with another opportunity to give. We got 14 "free" calendars this year.

We get all the "free" calendars in the mail and every year we go to the French Quarter and buy a calendar from a bar which is a fund raiser for the local animal shelter.
