17. Unfortunatly, they are moving pallets on the roof above -
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 02:34 PM by haele
All sorts of rattles, clunks, and movement, as we're on the second floor of the old Convair buildings on Pacific Highway - I don't know what's a quake and what's just the normal industrial sensations for this building.

But my boss said he felt something; he's got a "window office" near one of the supporting stantions.

And I was reminded that this came just in time for the Holiday Bowl parade today. :)

Also, I just looked at the map. There was a swarm of earthquakes - averaging around 4 - 5 magnitute in that same area about 8/9 months ago. It's a common "stress" area for the San Andreas and some of her sister faults.

21. One of these days the San Andreas Fault is going to rip.
It will be a very bad day for everyone in the United States, crazier than 9-11.

23. I believe the Hayward fault will make a bigger impact WHEN it rips open
The entire bay area will surely be a mess, but the delta levees to the east will liquefy and fail, sending in a sea of salt water in that will severely impact LA supply.

One of my favorite 1906 earthquake photographs taken at Stanford.

25. Sea Lions have traveled up into the delta and beyond
This sea lion swam up the Sacramento delta then up an irrigation ditch until there was no more water, then crawled out of the ditch and commandeered a CHP vehicle sixty miles from the ocean.

I live within 2 miles of the Tijuana crossing and never noticed a thing. The cats have all been behaving normally, too. Weird.
