Dick Cheney: Not just wrong, but mirror-universe wrong.
Love it or hate it, the fact is that we are more militarily engaged today than under Bush/Cheney in 2008. This is not even a close call.

Afghanistan? Obama has increased our commitment there 400-500%.

Pakistan? Drone attacks are up. Reports of cross-border special ops incursions.

Yemen? We blew up bunches of people there quite recently. Probably have CIA on the ground.

Somalia? We shot some pirates and have blown up a number of folks.

Secretary of Defense? It's the same guy!

Iraq? A wash... Obama's Iraq withdrawal plan is roughly the same as Bush's Iraq withdrawal plan. In late 2008 Bush quietly signed onto ending the Iraq war while no one was paying much attention. By that point the timetable was being set by Iraq, not us. Which was one good reason to retain Gates... he was already working on roughly the same withdrawal plan. (The greatest irony of the 2008 campaign is that by September McCain was running against the Obama/Bush/Clinton Iraq withdrawal plan.)

Iran? Another wash, militarily... Obama won't bomb Iran, but George W. Bush didn't either. Since Cheney couldn't even convince the chimp to bomb Iran it's a weird thing to fault Obama for.

There is nobody Bush was blowing up in 2008 that Obama isn't blowing up even more in 2009. We are "on the offense", "taking the fight to them", and "fighting them there so we don't have to fight them there" a lot more than we were 12 months ago.

The notable War on Terror metric that has decreased under Obama is torture. Hence Cheney's ire.

Dude hates the Constitution a lot more than he hates terrorists.

1. Obama is a neo-con that doesn't say "Bring it on!" or other dumb shit
Ya can't be a true neo-con unless you are always on the lookout for increased profits as of a result of new armed conflict.

8. No problem my friend
The profit is in the provision of military equipment to the warring factions.
Blackwater
Raython
all of the military industrial complex..

They profit from conflict, poor people die from conflict.. win win corporate wise..

6. I don't see that
I doubt Obama is much motivated by MIC profits.

He is more motivated by a desire to appear tough, IMO.

9. Americans like strength, we hate wimps
and war is for the strong (the rich, the corporations). peace is for the peasants..

Obama needs the rich, the corporations for re-election. The peasants can either vote for him or vote for a person far worse then Obama. Or not vote (which over 50% of USA adults do not do).

10. OH Hell I posted this before
He's just mad because he is president any more. He ran the country when the wimp bush was in office and he is trying to make Obama let him run it again.
