Homeland Security
I felt at the time of Obama's election that Wesley Clark
should be appointed as Secretary of Homeland Security. I am
even more certain of that now.

1. I felt at the time the Republicons coined the totalitarian term 'Homeland'
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 07:29 AM by SpiralHawk
That it was a crock of fascist shit. Why do Republicons hate the United States of America? What the Hell do they find wrong about "U.S.A. Security?"

Is that too normal and too patriotic for the republicon chickenhawks who let 9/11 happen after ignoring over 60 warnings? Apparently.

I don't want to live in no stinkin republicon 'homeland.' I live in the United States of America.

2. I'm with you, SpiralHawk

The #1 reason for creating the giant Nazi-like "Homeland Security" in the first place was to use it as a vehicle for transferring
massive amounts of taxpayer funds to privately owned companies which rich people could invest in.

HS doesn't deter anything or make anyone secure. Just the opposite. But, it sure makes it easy to scam the sheeple and set them up
to accept the next (unnecessary, illegal) military "action" - which always and ONLY generates more hatred of the U.S. by both the
civilized world as well as in those countries where the U.S. has killed so many innocent civilian men, women, and children...while
stealing their country's treasure, disrespecting their culture and religion, and using poor (mostly black and brown) Americans for
cannon fodder.

Most Americans are too ignorant and too mean to begin to grasp what is being done in their name.

3. Is it the name they called it or its mission that you object to.
I realize that "homeland" or "fatherland" reminds one of Hitler/Nazi speak. Should we rename and redefine its mission.

4. It should be shut down & its budget used for healthcare.

We don't have a problem with REAL terrorism, so there's no need for the huge corporate welfare scheme, no matter what name you give it.

5. Shut down all of it?
There were a lot of agencies etc rolled into HS such as the one that was "supposed to" aid the Katrina victims. That agency was very effective under Clinton.

7. there was plenty of bureaucracy in place prior to it's creation
and it stands as a testament to the police state. Disband it, and return independence to the FBI, FEMA, etc.

10. George Orwell warned about 'newspeak' - a standard republicon occult mindf*ck tool
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 11:00 AM by SpiralHawk
As Orwell laid it out in his novel 1984, newspeak is the bastardization of language by totalitarian entities to limit the range of free thought or free action. 'Homeland' is the antithesis of the free and honorable United States of America.

Wikipedia: Newspeak is closely based on English but has a greatly reduced and simplified vocabulary and grammar. This suits the totalitarian regime of the Party, whose aim is to make any alternative thinking—"thoughtcrime", or "crimethink"

Ergo, in the republicon 'mind' only dastardly'thoughtcriminals' could possibly oppose the seemingly warm and fuzzy word, but treacherously totalitarian reality of a 'homeland'

Keep America safe of course. That's one of the first roles of a federal government. But don't shove no stinkin republicon 'homeland' down our throats.

We are citizens of the United States of America - and that's what we need to protect and defend.

8. We have always had a National Security Administration
Why is National not as descriptive as "Homeland" which reeks of Nazi terminology.
