Until the 80's?

The 90's?

Would we still be actively fighting there today?

15. Speaking of Korea,
you can't help but notice the positive effect our presence has had on the northern half of the peninsula.

3. By now we would have killed every north vietnamese citizen.
I believe we would have literally bombed and shelled them out of existence by now. And America would have declared it a victory. No doubt.

6. The memorial wall would have been twice as long - or- they
would still be figuring out where to extend it next - or - maybe it would have stopped and they would have built a bridge-wall to another block - or - maybe all the Vietnamese would have been killed.

What is it about war lovers?

9. Busholini said that what he learned about the Vietnam War
was that the US should never have surrendered. Of course, when he joined the NG he checked the box that said "No foreign deployment" for him. If he had been in charge at that time the US would have stayed until the entire country of Vietnam was completely destroyed and at least 80% of the people there were killed. This man is a shallow, arrogant, ignorant Sociopath.

12. The rhetoric for staying is the same though.
Watch the documentary The US vs. John Lennon. The clips of Nixon and his remarks about "timetables for withdrawal" and his language about anti-war protesters "emboldening the enemy"...and then realize that many of the same fools who were in the West Wing in 1970 are there today "advising" the Brat-In-Chief.

Lots of similarities that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

14. Oh you can make quite a few comparisons. Militarily, poltically, etc.
The problem is that the military leaders that we had, who had learned the lessons of Vietnam, are gone from the leadership ranks. We have a President who has no idea about the geopolitical issues and refuses to hear from anyone who learned the obvious lessons from Vietnam which can be applied to our situation in Iraq.
