My wish for all of you for 2010 is a great and prosperous New Year

2009 was hard for a great many of us.

I and my family saw our share of issues but on the cusp of a new year, things seem to be looking better and better.


1. My health is improving, I gained 4 lbs which made my GI doc very happy yesterday
2. My daughter is back in our home, completed her first semester of college with all A's and I think I have met my future son-in-law. They are both very smitten and he is so wonderful with her it warms my heart.

3. My health scare has brought my husband and I closer together than ever
4. The bum in the basement has had a job for 4 months now, and will be out of our home by the end of Jan!


I am looking forward to a quiet 2010 that brings joy and happiness to all of my friends and family.

3. My only resolution is to once and for all quit smoking

it makes my Crohn's worse and it is getting expensive. I was in the hospital for 13 days without even a craving, but as soon as I was released, boom...I was stupid for taking that first puff back.

31. Try Champix. It worked for me...

And I'd had many failures trying to give up smoking before. Not sure how prohibitive the cost of Champix would be in the US, but if it's not too expensive, I'd go see the doctor and get a prescription for it coz the only time I've wanted a smoke since I used the Champix is a few weeks ago when I got way too drunk at a xmas party and got irrational and demanded people give me a smoke. Thankfully they didn't...

4. Thanks....We had the same kind of year. I recovered pretty well, built my..

business back up, managed to keep paying my mortgage through it all. It's been rough but it looks like I might make it.

I hope everyone who has had a bad year manages to pull out of their tailspins too. Good luck in2010!

11. the coolest thing is that my daughter and her beau are spending NYE with us

playing pictionary man and other games.

At midnight, hubby will shoot off a festival ball and we will toast the new year in. I am looking forward to it and the new year.

15. It warms my heart to see my daughter in love

She met him at college and they are both driven to finish their degrees with the best grades possible.

When he met my mom, who lives in an assisted living home, he thanked her for me because it got him Holli! She told them both that they looked very happy and he told her he loved her.

It makes me so very happy.

The end of 2009 is also much, much better for my family than its beginning was. I just wish the same were true for everyone whose year is ending the same crappy way it began.
