Pit bull owner arrested, released

"MOSS POINT -- The owner of two pit bulls that allegedly attacked a local pastor and his wife Sunday was arrested Friday and released after posting a $2,000 bond the same day.

The Moss Point Police Department issued a warrant Thursday for the arrest of Margarete Younts, 29, of 5019 Weems St., and she was taken into custody Friday. Younts was charged with violating a city ordinance that pertains to controlling dangerous or vicious animals. She is scheduled to appear June 5 in City Court.

The Rev. Randy Kimbrough and Ruth Kimbrough were hospitalized and underwent surgery Sunday after they were attacked by two pit bulls at their home on Dantzler Street, directly across the street from Younts, who was previously cited for failure to provide proof of rabies inoculations and violation of the city's leash law. 2. Something tells me those dogs are not being trained for being animal companions

People who raise Pit Bulls for the tough guy image and fighting rank up there with assholes who show off their wall o' guns with five year old grins on their faces.

4. And if the owner has been cited already for failure to comply with leash law
and rabies inoculation requirements, it's a pretty good bet that quality training is not high on her list of priorities.

Dogs as weapons. What a wonderful world we live in... (sigh)

3. Kimbrough could have called 911 however IMO a .38 revolver would have been more effective. n/t

5. the dog owner probably will be and should be sued
although my dislike of preachers makes the victim less than sympathetic for me.
