America spends more on health care than any other industrialized nation and ranks the lowest of any other industrialized nation in life expectancy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_compared#Cross-country_comparisons

"The United States is alone among developed nations in not having a universal health care system."

There is more to it than just buying health insurance.

By leaving the poor in poverty and continuing to destroy the middle class, and exporting jobs with no safety net for the American people, we are going to continue to spend more on health care and continue to get less than acceptable results from the money spent on that health care.

There is way more to this problem that is not being addressed.

I highly recommend this documentary.

3. people who have to show up to work every day can't get healthcare
They become less valuable to employers if they miss work now and then to attend to their health.

We are disposable cogs. I realized that back in 1993.
