how will the house and senate bills on HCR be merged? How does that process work?

and how do they decide what stays and what goes?

will this essentially be the senate bill when all is said and done or will some of the options in the house bill be included in the final bill, and if so how do they decide that?

can someone from the house pull a liberman and say that if the public option isn't included he/she can 'kill the bill'?

can we-the-people influence this process?

1. What stays and what goes

will be determined by what it takes to get the bill passed by the House, then the Senate will have to vote on the same bill, if it isn't filibustered.

My bet is that that the Senate bill is it.

but for the most part, the Senate bill is pretty much what will be in the final bill.

They'll have the same mandate to purchase insurance that everyone else has, and most, if not all, will continue to get coverage from their employer, the federal government.

6. the House can kill the bill

negotiators can take a hard line in the negotiations, and also they can vote against the conference report. The original house vote was extremely close and a handful of rebels can derail the legislation.
