The liquid ban on airplanes is totally worthless!

I find this current explosion story very interesting.

I have always wondered why the liquids are banned when anyone wanting to bring dangerous liquids on board would just hide them in a pocket or strap them to their leg.

Heck, my friend said he knows he could wear his water camel back pack full of water on board under his clothes, like the one he wears biking, and no one could tell.

I always wondered what stopped someone from taping an inter tube to their leg full of anything they wanted. How would security know?

It sounds like this guy did something like this.

Wonder how in the world how they can prevent stuff like this without patting everyone down?

If you think you shouldn't fly naked then maybe it would reduce the number of those flying cause they don't want to see you naked.

It would also keep fundamentalists from flying. Provided they have a policy that exposes anyone with their belief that flies naked.

Same for Muslims that prohibit exposing their flesh.

It would reduce the number of crying babies by about 30%.

It would cost less to fly the plane because there would be less baggage.

People would have to get dressed once they deplane. Everyone would have to have a checked bag so they could leave the airport at their destinations.

The TSA and other agencies have to look like Something Is Being Done. The dirty little open secret is that anyone who really wants to blow up a plane full of people is probably going to be able to do it. Same goes for any number of other horrific terroristic attacks. Heck, the United States carries out indiscriminate bombings of civilians without warning in other countries all the time. There are precautions that can be taken, for sure, but the rules being promulgated seem to be written by the most pants-wettingest contingent, designed for maximum disruption for the minimum increase in security.
