2. Iirc, Emanuel has made a hobby of attacking the man that grew our majority.
How soon they forget.

4. Why does Rahm hate his own party so much, anyway?
Does he even REMEMBER that his mother marched for civil rights?

3. So long as Ben Nelson and Bart Stupak are respected elected Democrats.

8. It was Howard Dean. An inconvenient truth for some today.
Funny how quickly people's memories fail.

Howard Dean led the majority building the Democrats now enjoy.

6. I am the enemy of everyone
So does that make me everybody's friend? Or at least, everyone with an enemy.

Damn, I miss junior high school.

7. You DO understand where she's coming from I hope?
I believe her position is fairly simple.

She (rightfully) sees the rise of corporate power permeating our government, leaving the average person powerless.

Agree so far?

The main focus of the whackjobs in the tea bagger movement is basically protesting the same thing, even if they couch their words in constitutionality of government actions.

Still with me?

There is a certain amount of overlap between the 'baggers and the far left, where both sides see the government is broken, corrupted by big money.

Its that sliver of overlap she seems determined to find common ground with, refocusing their anger and increasing the numbers of those on the same page as the left (at least on this issue).

She shouldnt be lambasted for trying, especially by the same centrist Democrats who think Obama had every right sucking up to the right winger Tom Coburn.
