Will blow 1 Billion dollar hole in state's budget. It threatens city health care clinics, struggling hospitals and nursing homes.

It seems that my "good" senators, by being part of the hcr cheerleading team, weren't needed to cut last minute deals to assist the city and state.

please click the link to get a very good idea how these "negotiations" worked and how it affects health care systems in a very tangible way.

3. Not a big fan of either Paterson or Bloomberg
but they are right.

Under the Senate plan, the biggest rewards go the states that, unlike New York, have been Scrooges to the poor in need of medical care.

"We are in a sense being punished for our own charity," Paterson said Monday.

10. I'd love to see Seth....
Sending you a  for your warm heart.

BTW... in the pic, Jack had just finished having a bath. He really is a wonderful cat. One day, over a year ago, he appeared on our doorstep, crying to come in, and he has never left. We searched high and low for his family and they never came forth. Still can't understand why.

11. I will tonight... I loved that Cat
He was old, and sickly toward the end of his 16 years, so I had to put him down. He was no longer responsive to anyone by that time which was really hard for me, but I'm sure him being as sick as he was, was worse for him. I couldn't watch him suffer anymore.

After the vets put him down I was allowed to bring him home to bury him in my backyard. A small shrub now stands where he was once buried.

Getting back to the picture... it reminded me of my Seth after I would give him a bath. Skinny, small, with a surprised look on his face. He used to make me laugh so much.
