I basically told the DSCC to go to hell this weekend when they called asking for my money again!
I made it clear to them that they aren't getting another dime to pick THEIR "Democrats" and that I'd be giving directly to candidates and skipping the DSCC and DCCC middlemen who take my money to hire corporacrats instead of progresssive Dems and I'd give that money directly to the candidates so they would remember my name and listen to me instead of to the DSCC's or DCCC's "matching donors" - aka the corporatocracy that is screwing us all. I made it clear I was totally pissed off about the alleged health care "reform" bill that the Senate passed instead of real reform.

We need to all contact our Congressmen and Senators and make it clear we'll primary them if they vote for individual mandates in the absence of either gov't single payer (medicare for all), national health, or a robust public option available for all Americans.

This bill stinks and it is a pass at all costs bill regardless of how preposterous and over-reaching on the American public in favor of the corporations.

Howard Dean was right the other day: SCRAP IT. START OVER. SINGLE PAYER OR BUST! and I REALLY mean it - i'd rather "BUST" than take the crap we are being force fed now.

8. That's called backpedalling under pressure - his FIRST reaction is the honest one and we all know it

9. No, he became realistic. Do you think if enough people vote against all Democrats who voted
for this, that would help make good healthcare a reality sooner?

and when I say vote against all Democrats who voted for this, I mean vote for a third party or another progressive

10. No he caved under pressure and the ONLY way to get rid of these fake Dems is to primary them.
I am NOT saying go to a third party I AM saying run them out with a primary opponent. It's the ONLY way. If they won't vote our way, their successors WILL.

13. That is a formidable task since we don't really have a public financed election system
Good luck to you, but the odds are that he will be the Democratic nominee in the primary.

15. over MY dead body... sorry but you CAN throw these bums out.
stop making excuses for why we shouldn't try. You are being a defeatist and apologist. If we follow YOUR defeatist line of reasoning, these clowns will never listen. If you throw some of them out, the rest will get the message.

17. You want to get personal with me and call me a "defeatist and apologist", I am just stating what I
think would happen. You don't like it, fine. I am not telling you NOT to pursue it

Sorry if you don't like it.

19. My approach is simply different then your. My approach is to get my Senators and
Congress person to change the HCR bill when it becomes law so it has a public option or single payer. So it doesn't have monopoly protection for insurance companies, etc.

I simply believe it is better to change a bill than to start from scratch, especially since the so-called majority we have is not real anyway

24. Nothing like a little "dance" in the backroom with a few party heavyweights to
clear one's mind and cause a change of heart. Kind of like Obama's change of heart a few days after his speech at the 2004 Convention.

Hmmm...

2. I've already let my Dem senator, Mark Begich, know that if
the final Senate/House bill does not include a public option, I will be working against him in the primary.

6. Well you better start working against him because it won't contain a public option. However,
what I am doing is contacting my Senators and telling them to amend the crap bill after it becomes law. There is still time before the next election for them to do that

12. Great, another year of elected representatives falling out of
clown cars, trying to get the 60 votes for the public option they couldn't get this year.

They aren't going to do anything unless they are afraid not to.

Begich is likely a one-termer anyway. He only squeaked in because the Republican vote was split.

3. Good for you, they are hearing that from others.
One of them called me last week, and I basically told them the same thing. I was told they're hearing that more and more.

Eventually, they will get the message when donations are down. Then they'll have to figure out what they're next step is.

We're on to you, Blue Dog Organizations! NO MORE MONEY!!

5. I quit giving to the Democratic party, or any of its groups, some time back.
But the 60 votes means that I am willing to doante to any of them as I can afford it, except for Lieberman.

Now, if they finsih their job and pass the Senate bill there will be quite of few that I would be willing to support.

I know it's not much consolation though.

22. It would be wonderful if we COULD pick two of the dirty blue dogs
and get someone good to run against them in the primary. Get them thrown out and the real democrat win the primary and then go on to the senate or house. But with all the money these blue dogs got from the health insurance and corporates , they will be hard to beat. If we had term limits we could bet rid of them easier. I think all members of congress should be limited to eight years just like the president. Stagger they members and change the congress every two years.
