Because he's acting like he's for it now, on the floor of the Senate.

1. I'm sitting here laughing at his faux outrage
few minutes ago, I told my son this is a comedy show.

Some of what he says is true, some is exaggerated, some is intellectually dishonest -

but all of it is faux outrage -

how often has his side done much worse?

2. During the campaign
Obama and McCain Both Support Reimportation
Tuesday October 28, 2008
The Kaiser Family Foundation reports that both Obama and McCain support the reimportation of prescription drugs from other countries, but underscore the need to establish drug safety measures. Obama would consider restricting reimportation to countries that have "strong records of safety, like Canada or Europe." McCain would increase funding to the FDA so they could ensure the safety of reimported drugs.

4. First thing the Dems should do after this is over is put up a simple bill
allowing for the reimportation of drugs.

The current bill provides the Rethugs with a constantly moving target. But once the structure is in place, we can begin to strengthen it with very specific bills that would be much harder for the Rethugs to publicly fight against.

I'd like to watch them try to justify a filibuster against a reimportation bill.
