Why no calls for Bush to resign?
Bush said after the Gonzales hearing that he still has confidence in Gonzales.

Why hasn't Senator Schumer called for Bush to resign for making a statement that expresses such contempt for the American public? Who is Schumer kidding? Why is Gonzales held to a higher standard than the President of the United States? Which is more dangerous...having an AG who thinks the integrity of the US Attorney system isn't that important or having a POTUS with such a belief?

No one seems to be willing to stop this truck wreck from happening. The 'oh shit we broke it, guess we have to fix it somehow' method.

4. Heck!
If he resigns, then we can't impeach him.

Isn't it important to get this in the record for history?

5. Calls for resignation
might lead to a public meltdown.

Republicans are already trying to pretend that this is limited to Gonzales...suggesting if Gonzales quits that will be a sufficient remedy. Of course, all the dots point directly to Rove and Bush.

7. That is kind of impeachment and resignation insurance.
Be careful what you wish for because you may get what you want and be even less happy with the results.
