The theme for April is "The Sky".

The following 10 Photos were selected by you from the Preliminary Polls posted last week.

The final round will run until Midnight CST, Wednesday, April 25th.
The winner of this contest will have the prestigious honor of hosting next month's contest. :party:

Please feel free to comment on any photos. The photographers really appreciate comments and feedback. If nothing else, please help keep this kicked.

4. Whoa....scroll up, scroll down...hard to decide.

I gravitate toward the storm pictures but I ended up going for #3, possibly for pure subjective reasons. On the N.C. coast I've seen something like that many many times and this photo captures the serenity and the stillness of it all. Nevertheless, I will be happy with which ever one is chosen. They are all stunning.

(and I like the idea that the scenes depicted here get me away from politics and war!!!!!)

was my choice. But I could have gone with 5 or 6 of the others very easily. It's an exceptional group of photographs this month.

"Sailors Take Warning" has the most dramatic impact for me, "Reflection" has lovely composition, but the winner for me has both. "Passing Storm" catches the drama of the storm but presents the turmoil as a moment of stillness. The limited palette really serves the elegant composition. It is exquisite.

10. It's really difficult to pick a winner, they're all so good.

I based my selection on the photographer seizing the right moment & for the irony of the subject matter. I chose the stoic sunflower awaiting the storm, "Threatening Sky".

So I retreat to anal retentive mode. The THEME is SKIES. For my tastes "Sailors" would win BUT for the electrical lines. Reflections is the Logic picture of a beautiful song. What kinda shit am I talking? They ALL are SO MAGNIFICENT! OK. I'm closing my eyes and scrolling until I see the page that says I voted!
