4. I'll play ...

Please describe the measures FDR implemented withing the first 100 days by FDR that had huge results. Describe those results and what the measures that produced those results were intended to address.

For bonus points, please describe the opposition to the measures that produced these results.

10. He did quite a bit in his first 100 days, but he did it with almost no opposition.
That is the difference. Now we get opposition from amongst our own party...

11. You're no fun ...

:)

That's the correct answer, and I have no opening whatsoever to argue against it.

5. I would rather he emulate Mr Lincoln in this regard. . .
who famously observed, "I may walk slow but I never walk back."

8. Before I waste my time, if we prove you wrong will you admit it and post a thread saying so?
otherwise why should i kick this again and again arguing with you if you won't stick around to see if your hypotheses are correct or not.

12. Obama signed the stimulus on his 28th day as president
And would have signed it sooner if he could, so you're a little off. And I don't buy the argument that the stimulus doesn't help "people."

There's also this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/29/obamas-first-100-days-10_n_192603.html>

13. The stimulus bill was a great achievement.
The Lilly Ledbetter Act was good too. I was very hopeful during the first 100 days. Since then, with the exception of the Sotomayor nomination, it has been all downhill.

Perhaps your argument would be stronger if you showed that FDR fought for the people for 13 years (whereas Obama showed interest in fighting for the people for only 100 days).

Kill the bill.

Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.
