Wis. teen will need legal permission to date girls

APPLETON, Wis. (AP) - An Appleton teen will need legal permission to date girls for the next three years after he was convicted of fleeing to Tennessee with his girlfriend in a stolen car.

Nineteen-year-old Jordan S. Christensen was sentenced Friday to one year in jail and three years of probation. As a condition of his probation, Outagamie County Judge John Des Jardins ordered "no dating of the opposite sex without permission of your probation agent."

Christensen had pleaded no contest to charges of auto theft, stealing a firearm and bail jumping.

The Post-Crescent of Appleton says Christensen told both families before sentencing he's guilty and takes responsibility.

Investigators say he stole his foster parents' car May 26 and fled to the Memphis area with his 16-year-old girlfriend.

I don't think it's right that a judge or probation officer can tell you who you can date...
