I am having so much trouble buying this .
Yes certainly people need health care and a way to afford it which is called Insurance. People need jobs too.

At the same time on the other side of the coin we as a country with a government as well as many people seem to have no problem killing others

Whether by remote drones or tanks or missiles most that die are just citizens. Was it not 70% of the people here who supported shock and awe. We make these weapons here and sell them and call these jobs , weapons that leave behind a instant mass death or a slow one created from what they leave behind.

We have politicians who work for corporations and politicians who must be bribed with money to vote for some health ins bill rather than politicians who are in office to represent the people and swore to do so , this is not enough, they need to money too and take it without shame or hesitation.

Instead of ending the wars first and creating jobs of worth while creations that do some good instead we seek more oil. Instead of regulating banks and wall street and the auto industry we reward them with bailouts. We have either saved or created x amount of jobs , what sort of sale is that?

After almost an entire year we have a start to a possible many years down the road savings and a slapped together health ins formation. All the rest remains the same or has become much worse.

How does one blend the hypocrisy and come out with a clear conscience.

3. America is not a utopia. Going from Bush = Hell to some imaginary ideal country was never in the
offing.

What were your expectations?

5. Well I certainly didn't expect the bailouts that came out of no where.
I did expect the damn wars to end even though Obama never said they would and I did not vote for him and that was one of the main reasons I did not. I did expect people to come to their senses and demand the wars to end. By now you would think this issue would stand out as the wrong way to go.

I don't look at the president , but I did hope the people would have learned by now. Yeah ,well I hoped as foolish as that may sound.

Now lets just lower the american flag and raise the new one that just says hypocrites in red, white and blue over a dollar bill and be honest.

4. The human mind is capable of hold quite a few contradictory thoughts...
Obama, and many others, see the banks as critical to the economic system, which they are. (The house has passed a bill regulating the banks, and now that the Senate passes health care they can take up that issue.)

Because we are the pinnacle of the oil civilization, I fear out nation rises and falls with oil. The farther we slide down the dark slope after peak oil, the worse we will hurt as a nation. As the oil empire, all emperors will act to support the consumption and control of that black addictive substance. I don't like it, but until the empire falls apart these type of wars will continue. I don't expect the empire to last past 2020.

Jobs are created by businesses that need money from banks to operate. That seems to be the way they look at it. I thought we should have created WPA type programs, but I'm not an elected representative.

I do the best I can for my family, my community, and then my country. There are things I can't control. As long as I act and strive for what I think is right, my conscious is clear.

Contradictory thoughts, indeed.
