Screw Lieberman and his self-serving nonsense, screw the other dogs too - every one of them a publicity-hounds every one of them and little more. Just look at Senator Burris, maligned by many for having achieved his office by unethical means. He alone may stand up and say no to a bill that is if nothing else is stained clearly by graft and corruption. Let's face it - nobody says this bill is anything other than bought and paid for by the american medical complex; to think that it could be brought down by a man so many think is bought and paid for himself.

It brings some sad humor to the day.

1. They've all sold out to the highest bidder. What makes you think he's any different?

2. I never ever ever ever understood the fuss about Blago.
In fact I saw his offer as something we should have taken him up on.

He was saying, Give me a million bucks, somebody out there, and I will give you a Senator of your choosing.

Would that we progressives on the left had put together our pennies and agreed to the offer!

3. a) he'll vote for cloture and b) even if he didn't that would hardly make
him the most ethical man in the Congress.

Furthermore, plenty of good people think this legislation is better than nothing. I may not agree, but that's the way it is.

5. He's certainly far from the most unethical...
...if only because he just arrived.
