Viacom Reclaiming You Tube Tapes

Viacom is now reclaiming all You Tube Tapes it does not want out. In the last 24 Hours tapes have been reclaimed off of You Tube Found out the hard way two Video's I posted have been taken off of You Tube. Bur its only one that seem to attack Bush and Company. Just A little heads up

Check this out someone posted a thread earlier...all your worst fear and feelings were proven correct and ad now with Viacom (YouTube)they aren't through protecting Bush!

7. Aw, c'mon -- that's not a free speech issue

PLEASE, people. Free Speech refers to the First Amendment to the Constitution which guarantees that the GOVERNMENT will not censor your speech.

What this is, frankly, is a copyright law issue, and You Tube is arguably on the wrong side. We'll see how it goes. If some court can say, "Yeah, that's Fair Use so no copyright violation under the Fair Use doctrine" (which is what enables DU to post excerpts limited to about 4 paragraphs), then no problem.

I think copyright laws have to change, WILL change. The ubiquitous presence of all this information-collecting and sharing technology will necessitate it. But we're not there yet.
