Well, now we will get to watch "our" Senators praise and congratulate each other for

doing such a great job. I just saw someone on MSNBC saying "When have you ever seen the Senate working on Saturday in a snow storm." As a working person, I have spent many weekends at work and worried many times about how I would be able to get home so I'm not too impressed with that. I am happy to see these people actually produce something, but I will refrain from being thrilled about the bill till we see what can be done with it in the future.
Obviously, many Senators will vote for it because they are getting concessions and cash for various programs in their own states, and I guess they see this as part of their jobs.
Anyway, I will wait and see what happens next because I have no other choice.

Obviously, those of us on the left have much less influence than we like to think, and maybe we have just been educated about how much we must do to count for something with the Democrats.
