1. Vermont's Populations Is Even Smaller.
If Bernie Sanders were to object to this horrible bill (and follow the advice of another Vermonter, Dr. Dean), this bill would NOT pass.

That would be a good thing, in my opinion.

from each state, NOT tied to population, is because the Senators represent the interests of the STATE itself as a body, rather than a certain number of constituents (like the House). At least that's how I understand it. That's why the state governors used to appoint Senators to represent the interests of the state, rather than being elected.
