"Obama doesn't give us anything."
I am tired of this type of overinflated reaction. I am very frustrated with the current trend in the HCR debate. And yet I will be terrified if the bill is defeated, and we do not improve the system in any way. Yet, I am not going to pretend the Obama hasn't made a difference in this country. I noted my frustration over such comments by posting a few things that Obama had done. Those threads were blasted, but largely ignored. I noted another thread that listed many promises kept by Obama, and that, too, was blasted.

I guess I'm just crazy. I think Obama has made a lot of difference, maybe more than I expected. Sure, I want even more. I want a lot more. I'm a single-payer advocate, and I will remain one. But all sides are guilty in pushing ugly rhetoric, at this point.

The old deep breath is in need for everyone. As is the old open, honest mind. I don't expect this to change anything. I just wanted to get it off my chest.

I am out of here for a few days.

Cheers!

:hi:

1. I'm with you HuckleB
I've got a pile of old British mysteries that I'm going to spend time with for at least the next week. As of now, I'm clicking on positive threads, though they're hard to find.

2. Thanks.
I stupidly came back this morning, and I let the hyperbole and meaningless generalizations get to me again. I don't get it. I just don't.

Somehow sticking with the status quo is all right. To me that goes against everything I stand for, no matter how much I want a full single payer plan in place now.
