Clear and present danger for liberals and progressives

You haven't seen nothing yet. When history is written, this so-called worst economic recession since the Great Depression will look like child's play. This was just a prelude to what was to come. And it's all pretty much by design (a very careful, and well-planned design).

All this passion and energy dealing with the current health care debate is a diversionary tactic; almost meaningless. Alea iacta est. The outcome is already preordained: Just like war criminals in the Bush administration acted with impunity. Just like Wall Street bankers who stole trillions of dollars acted with impunity (and collaboration from the government). The corporatist will win. You (liberals and progressives) are not taken seriously, and actually make these people exploiting the country laugh at you (at us).

There is only one course of action you can take in order to be taken seriously. Unless the progressive movement takes these steps, we are doomed: Both, figuratively, and in actuality.

I know the author says the current health care debate is almost irrelevant. He's right. I'll just say "almost" is not the same as "totally" Killing this part of the transfer of the wealth up will keep slow down that part of it for a minute.

That said, when you hear, "deficit reduction," think, 1937 on steroids. Oppose it with everything you can.

When you want to laugh at your more liberal, radical counterparts, take one second to remember there were those sounding alarms in Germany as the RW took back over from a liberal government. They were laughed at and mariginalized, also.

The fourteenth amendment needs to be amended so that the word "person" (which in legal terms includes corporations) in two locations is replaced with the words "people" and "individual" which in legal terms neither includes corporations.

Like this:

All persons people born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person individual within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
