three steps
1) the hardest -dig out all the poison bills in the Senate bill stuck there to make it fail. Close all the loopholes you can -Focus on just keeping the very few good things that cannot pass through reconciliation. 2) get the fucker passed before New Years. 3) starting New years day, get the reconciliation process started. It's going to take a better part of the year, but expand the shit out of whatever programs are in the original bill.
optional 4th step:
use this issue as a means to PICK UP Senate seats. Even for a lot of conservative people, HCR is powerful enough to make them a one issue voter (we all have sick loved ones getting the shaft). If Dem candidates in moderate states that happen to have a Repug Senator (and there are at least 4 this year) push themselves as the last vote needed to foil that asshole Liebeman, it may be enough to put them over the top. I'm all for getting rid of blue dogs, but it seems to me that's a 2012 kinda thing to do, once we've picked up a few more seats and can afford to lose some. But we can do it over the next two cycles.
optional 5th step:
help activists in Connecticut modify their constitution to allow the recalling of a Senator.......you know where I am going with this......
