Here is how I see it.

We should turn down the present HC "insurance reform" bill. It is not what we want nor is it what we need. Let Obama and Congress understand that we voted for what we were told in the election cycle we would get. That is real health care reform, no mandates, a public option as an alternative to private insurance, competition for insurance companies, insurance reform and affordable health care for all.

Let them understand that keeping our support means keeping their word. We are being taken like sheep to the slaughter right into the arms of the very corporations that are the source of the health care crisis.

We went from the idea of single payer to the antitheses of single payer!

1. This bill is nothing but a windfall for the Industry.
It needs to die.

2. I would rather see a loss for the right bill
than a win with a piece of crap that will cause huge problems down the line.
Also, realize that the "loss" will be with a big MAJORITY in BOTH houses of congress.

You think they might just listen to us instead of the lobbyists?

5. Do you remember when some bill was passed that seniors didn't like and they got it changed?
I can't recall what it was but I remember something like that happening.

Ever wonder why that is?

You're willing to take what you get so you get less than what you want.

Everyone else is out there fighting for what they want, the tea baggers, the insurance companies, the pharmaceutical companies and we say take what you can get. I am repulsed by that thinking.

8. I agree.
To me, this who mess was something that was systematically orchestrated all in the hopes that in the end the public aka progressives will be so frustrated with the process that we would be happy with anything that is tossed at our feet.

Boy, are they wrong.

this is a stinking pile of a bill. And as such, should be relegated to the dust bin.
