3. The lesson that climate change is inevitable and happens without mans involvement?

If the story in this article isint full of shit and there really is a city under the ocean that's thousands of years old then it wasn't man made global warming that put it there.

Perhaps the Maya should of monitored their carbon footprint better.

6. The lessons of ancient civilizations
are all about how fragile we are and the impermanence of the world as we imagine it.

12. They also had stone tools
and were still figuring out the zero.

I put our odds as better than this likely made up ancient civilization.

Also, if it is a natural event then shouldn't we be putting our money/effort/science towards dealing with the consequences, rather than preventing something we don't control?

9. It's a hoax.
There's just way too much detail and yet nothing is recognizable. It looks fake to me. I wish it were true but I doubt it very much.

11. My first thought too
I haven't seen any pictures of other sunken cities that look even remotely similiar.

Anonymous researcher, unwilling to mention the location, claiming to have by far the clearest picture of an underwater city ever taken that he claims predates the pyramids. Yep, that's a hoax.

I'd be perfectly happy to be proved wrong, but my guess it that this is squarely in "Face of Mars" territory.
