Sarah Palin Hits Back at Schwarzenegger
Source: CBS News

This week California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is heading to Copenhagen for the U.N. climate change conference, took a shot at former Alaska governor and fellow Republican Sarah Palin for her skepticism concerning global warming science.

"You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish?" Schwarzenegger said of Palin, who penned a questionable op-ed for the Washington Post expressing skepticism over the scientific consensus that global warming is real and man-made. "Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the nomination?"

Palin responded to Schwarzenegger's questioning of her motivations on her Facebook page last night, accusing the California governor of acting "greener than thou."

"Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment?" she wrote. "Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation's only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change. While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can't primarily blame man's activities for those changes."

"And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn't do was hamstring Alaska's job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act 'greener than thou' when talking to reporters," added Palin.

1. God hates Alaska.
That's what she is saying. Because if it isn't man's activities that cause global warming, then God must be doing it. And Alaska is bearing the brunt of God's wrath.

2. ".... same sorts of policies...."
Oh, you mean deregulation of the utilities and all the other wonderful repub stuff? California is in trouble because the repubs fucked Grey Davis, got Arnie in, and then fucked him.

3. Come On - Palin Didn't Come Up With This Answer Herself.....
who is writing her material? Who is propping her up to be the next Repug nominee for President in 2012? Who wants that dummy in office so they could control her and the WH?

I really can't wait for the real Repug 2012 campaign to start. I want to see how the other potential Repug candidates will take her apart.

5. '70s Republicans and Reagan did in California
Propositions that tied the hands of gov't, giving amnasty to illegal immigrants, making UC tuition go up, and of course sending our manufacturing floor to China.

But naturally it's CARB that did it

6. WHY IS THIS OF ANY IMPORTANCE? yeah I'm shoutin here.
Der Gropenfuerer is a sick joke but at least he hasn't run off with his tail between his legs to have his bio ghost written.

The quitter from the frozen north fills me with apathy and ennui, if anything. She deserves to be one of the more obscure historical end notes.

8. Maybe Arnold instigated her snark because
any snark from her makes the recipient look better. God knows praises from her tanks her favorites.
