Check in to this thread if you are not giving money to the Democrats in 2010.
I'm not trying to encourage people not to give or start some big show of solidarity or something, but I'd like to know who you are. I see a lot of scattered threads and replies to this effect; let's make one big list.

6. Why would you?
The money individuals give to candidates apparently doesn't impress them. Only corporate money gets things done, so why waste your dollars on exactly nothing?

33. Again not understanding what you're saying.
I'm giving other people a chance to voice an opinion that I've seen elsewhere on this board, and even you contributed. The opinion I'm soliciting is apparently not forbidden on this forum, as I haven't seen it locked. I did not use the original post to attack anybody. I cannot see how this is "flamebait".

40. If I really wanted to do that, I would rather take a poll.
But what's wrong with finding out how many people are on each side? When people post scattered threads with the same information, it's hard to tell how many people out of all of DU agree. It's prone to leaving a false impression. Why would taking a (presumably) more accurate poll be considered flamebait more than scattering the opinion all over DU trying to create a particular impression?

19. Not a penny
I sent money to Obama's campaign more than once and to the DNC. No Dem will ever get another penny from me if this Lieberman Bill is what we get from a Democratic Majority. Obama will be a one-term president and Dems will lose big-time in 2010 because of Lieberman who campaigned for McCain/Palin. Why they are kissing his feet is beyond my understanding. Reid should be pandering to his progressive Senators - or else the GOP will be a supermajority in 2012.

27. I will give nothing to the DNC (I'm not a member of the party)
I donate to progressives, some of whom are also members of the Democratic party (that's of secondary importance to me).

However, I will be looking to support progressive Democratic candidates throughout the nation in the primary and in the general election (actblue makes this easy). If Barbara Boxer runs into problems against her Republican opponent, I'll donate to her campaign.

I'm a member of Actblue and I often donate through them.

47. I'm not
The DNC called me a month ago and I told them that I wasn't giving a cent sense it looks like Dems are into giving big money and windfalls to corporate America. I think the phone operator really believed that the Democrats would deliver a public option. I debated with him a little telling him how I'd thought things were heading. I really hoped that I was wrong. But I'm not.

It looks like the Democratic Leadership is in Bed with the Banks, Big Pharma, the Industrial war Machine and Insurance Companies.

I think there are some very good Democrats out there. But the Leadership Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the DLC asshats.. do not represent the peoples interest. They represent corporate America's interest. They are no better than Bush and his cronies and in some ways they are worst because they have the Main stream Media touting them as Socialist. They are nothing but Corporatist the whole lot of them.
