When are the Dems going to strip Lieberman of his chairmanships
Or will they continue to capitulate to this asshole. I think he is the main reason for the failure of any true reform in health care. Fuck him and the corporations he truly represents. He is a traitor as far as I am concerned.

Peace,
Max

2. The Dem leadership won't do a damned thing
They're a bunch of pussies too wedded to the good ol' boy club known as the Senate. They already saw over and over again the treachery that is Lieberman, but they still do nothing.

Bunch of punk ass bitches.

3. If they don't it proves the dems have no spines
And they have sold us all out to their corporate masters.

Peace,
Max

5. The leadership never punished the Dem senators who campaigned for Lieberman
AGAINST the Democratic nominee in the fall of '06. If Reid & Co. never grew a pair over THAT, why would they grow one now?

9. Reid needs to go
He seems to me to be the biggest wimp in the Senate. Time to clean house.

Peace,
Max

12. Agreed.
But that would mean making the Senate less of a "club".

18. That would be a shame
I thought the Senate worked for the people. But I guess we should keep it as a "club" as it has been working so well for us. :sarcasm:

Peace,
Max

7. I wish they had done it in January 2007.
For running and campaigning against the candidate that rightfully won the Democratic primary. But in the last Congress we had 51 members in our caucus, and 60 in this Congress. It seems he keeps finding himself in the right place and at the right time to wield a little power over the Democrats in the Senate, and his threats to defect to the Republican caucus seem to keep them in line.

Lieberman is only looking after one person, himself. Why give this man any more power than necessary?

8. Why would they do that? He's a useful foil
and a good excuse why they can't get shit done.

13. You're saying they'd rather have the excuse than actual GET things done?
Christ, you're probably right.

16. Only logical answer
I mean, any sane organization would have booted him years ago, why do you want someone in the room with you who sabotages all you do, and endorses your opponents in an election.

10. Great - just rock ME to sleep tonight. Scanning the list, I read something horrid!
I saw "When are the Dems going to strip Lieberman" and the imagery of him in nothing but his Sarah Palin boxer shorts with Senators in suits throwing his clothes all over the place was just too much for me. :yoiks:

11. Sorry
Thanks for the imagery. Now I can't get that image out of my head. I guess I should have phrased it differently.

Peace,
Max

15. Don't worry. I don't think Lieberman has EVER been naked.
The man was probably worn wearing a three-piece suit and a chastity belt.

19. Please, a Senate Majority Leader with some Cajones
Anybody whom uses their influence to get their son a lobbying job, in my estimation, needs to find another line of work. I'm so weary of finding Democrats, one after another that are influence peddling. Hence, failure to take Lieberman to task is definitely not surprising. Oh... lets not play games with our precious majority... The majority doesn't matter a damn.

Nice. Some can't face up to the fact that the dems have sold us out. Change, where is the change we were promised. I guess it is the more things change the more they stay the same.

Peace,
Max

26. Point the first:
"When are the Dems going to strip Lieberman of his chairmanships Or will they continue to capitulate to this asshole" might be on the short list for Most Ridiculous Question Ever. Have you been watching the Democratic Party for the last year?

Point the second: "Fuck him and the corporations he truly represents"? Out of 535 members in both houses of Congress, there are maybe five total who AREN'T greedily sucking the corporate dick. Yes, Lieberman is a towering asshole, but to lay all of this squarely at his feet alone is laughable.
