Great Appliance Swap-Out Program a go for New Yorkers
Source: Green Technology Daily

For one week in February, New Yorkers will receive substantial rebates on new, energy-efficient appliances meant to replace old equipment under a federal program funded by President Obama's economic stimulus plan.

Dubbed the Great Appliance Swap-Out Program, the program will give consumers rebates ranging from $50 to $555 on new appliances purchased from Feb. 13 to Feb. 20 of next year.

Appliances covered include refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers, and dishwashers, with the largest rebates going toward the purchase of a three-appliance package.

2. Sounds like one of those programs that appears modest...
but could be huge.

people, one needing surgery, we were told that had we ordered just south of here 32 miles, we could have qualified for a $25 rebate. BWahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Had we ordered just north of us 32 miles, we would have qualified. No advertising on this promo either. Nada. Of course if you buy two or three appliances you can get about $100-300 off. LOL! And they wonder why we are thinking of dropping my health insurance. We had to charge it as we have no savings. At least we got an energy star rated one. Hahahahahaha!
