70. Julie, I can relate.
I'm five foot three, and my parents were much bigger than me. My sister, now deceased, was also small. I wore size 8s and 9s in high school and she wore 4s and 5s!!!

My parents were good sized people for being born in 1911 and 1921.

Dad was almsot six feet, and mom seemed to tower over me at about 5 foot 7.
And Mom's mom was about 5 foot 9 and her dad was six foot two.
Seem to get smaller by the generation. You got me as to why.

Don't you get it. "Suckers" is the word they use to describe the people.

AG is not going anywhere. He is the "dupe". Read about false flag terrorism (Webster Tarpley) and you will realize who is playing which role. They will never let him go.

They are in their bunkers. All the subpoenas of Miers and Rove will go USSC. Even if they rule against our all powerful executive they will NOT give up one damn thing.

It is too the wall folks. They will dare the Congress to come after them. THis is going to get very bloody.

Bushie is raising the stakes on firing Gonzo. I doubt that my party will even have the spine to get Gonzo fired. But even if it does, that's really just a diversion. The "victory" of ousting a pathetic underling will placate some, but not me. Gonzo is just a cyst. Corporatism is the cancer.

But the official story will be that Democrats and Republicans have identified the problem -- incompetence -- and provided the solution: Gonzo's removal or resignation.

There will be much slapping of backs and congratulations on how "The system worked."

Then we will move on to discussion of Anna Nicole's baby, John Edwards' haircut, and other truly important topics.

The typical sociopathic response..."I want to put this all behind me." He wanted Gonzo to resign so Bush/neocons/repugs could "put it behind" them.

68. Exactly!
That's why I didn't start doing the wave (I hate the wave anyhow) when Coburn said it. It's wayyy too easy to write this whole thing off as incompetence and declare victory. The reason Gonzo sounded incompetent is because he was lying. He knew exactly what he was doing when he fired those U.S. attorneys.

32. "I will survive."
That's a pretty slashy look. I don't want to wallow in harmful stereotypes, but the OP has a valid point. *'s faux-cowboy image is predicated on his never being seen to back down. It's fiction, of course, but White House strategists must have already weighed the consequences of keeping Gonzo or letting him go. All may depend on perceptions of public opinion, so his fate might be seen as in the hands of the media.

As goofy as this sounds, why am I not so sure this doesn't really happen?

After the suit, they'll move onto the shirt...then the tie...then the shoes...etc. Then they'll have a tête-à-tête as to which one hangs up first:

"OK, I'll see you tomorrow!"
"OK..."
"...you can hang up now"
"No, you first..."
"No way, I hung up first last time."
"So, hang up first again..."
"NO, you hang up!"
"NO, you..."
"You...!"
"You...!"
"OK, if I hang up first this time, you have to hang up first the next two times...!"

I'm so happy the "adults" are back in charge...

So, actually, I'm okay with him not resigning. The more turmoil the republi-CONS are in because of jackasses like him, the better! Just keeps giving OUR people, and OUR numbers and OUR momentum more boosts.
