On now...

"Definitely giving Senate run serious consideration. Plan to make an announcement soon"
Will announce on the show if he makes the decision before 2/14

3. me too
I get a big kick out of the singing and "that music can mean only one thing" and all that stuff.

It won't be Thom Hartmann's style to be silly like that, which I'll miss (although I do really love, and learn a lot from, Thom's current show), but I hope he'll have the same guests.

6. Is Thom going to be his replacement?
Edited on Mon Jan-29-07 12:24 PM by Cassandra
Please, please!!! I would love to be more mobile with Thom, not glued to my dicey dial-up connection to White Rose Society (no offense, Ben).
Thom has some silly musical interludes; he was a DJ at one time. Al does have some good guests but doesn't always ask the best questions. I'm sure if they ask Thom for some radio time, he'll have them on.

7. Yes, he said Thom Hartman would be talking over and he said Thom
was a great liberal, radio guy, etc.

8. Oh I love Thom. He always makes me think
If he had to leave Air America, he couldn't have found a better replacement.

And Al, time to dig into my wallet and give you some money. NONE of my Senators are up for grabs in 2008

13. Superb. Thom deserves this opportunity a hundred times over.

He elevates AirAm's national lineup, and now Al can pursue his Senate seat with no conflicts of interest. Everbody wins!

2. I really think it's for the best

Especially since Al has formed a political action committee--his possible Senate bid has really effected the content of his show.

If you resigned, you're a class act. If you were fired, they've done you a great favor. Either way, best of luck and thanks for everything, Al! :applause:

Now, how do we convince the owners to get rid of Armstrong Williams? If it's not right to have possible political candidates on the payroll, that has to go double for political shills!

4. I have been a big fan of his for a long time
back to the SNL days. I love his show but I haven't listened much recently. I just tuned in after seeing the DU thread via the Huff post.

Good luck AL and you will get money from me if you run.

5. Glad I saw his show
I'm glad I got to see him when he did a live show in Asheville, NC.

I liked his "Bad to the Bone, Muh-Muh-Muh Melanie Sloan" song.
