Deer Park Soldier Laid To Rest

UPDATED: 12:20 pm CDT April 20, 2007

DEER PARK, Texas -- A funeral was held Friday for a soldier from Deer Park who was killed in Iraq, KPRC Local 2 reported. Friends and loved ones gathered at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church to remember Robert McDowell and show their support for the military.

<snip>

McDowell, 30, died April 1 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations in Baghdad.

<snip>

McDowell leaves behind a wife and two children. His family said McDowell died during his second tour in Iraq. He had just returned there on March 23 after a leave to see his newborn son.

and another Troop to mourn, because of this war of lies. Is it enough yet? Who will be the last, and who is going to ask that troop, to be the last one to die for this lie, Iraq?

edit:

Off topic, but the ad at the bottom of the page offends me. "courage braclets" Profiting off of the dead...strikes me as crass. :rant:
