Lacourche and Video Games

So I went to get the groceries and outside the supermarket are two guys peddling Lyndon Larouche propaganda

Some of the choice ones were...

Gore just won an Oscar for bad science (ok, apparently global warming is not only a liberal thing. but these guys agree with Inhofe... oh never mind the science ok)

Impeach Cheney First (Ok I agree with them that impeachment (and most importantly conviction in the senate) is important, but they were quite clueless as to how the process actually works. Not that there are not folks round these parts that are just as clueless)

My favorite though and the one I decided to take them on was "Ban violent video games."

So I asked them, after you ban them video games, what other areas of free speech should we ban? Perhaps their right to assemble and spread their word?

Their retort, well you can't scream fire in a crowded theater (I reminded them about the fact that you can, assuming there is an actual fire)

Of course then they tried the NWO and the Patriot Act and were surprised I knew what the NWO was and that I was for scrapping the patriot act... and I went back to the slippery slope on free speech and that they are standing with Republicans on that one. I came very close to calling them authoritarian fascists, but

I am wearing throughout this time a T-Shirt with the words of Thomas Jefferson regarding freedom, safety and those who are willing to give one for the other deserve neither. They could not answer that one.

So they ask me to sing their petition regarding the patriot act, speaking of the USPA that is a sure way to end on an FBI list. no thank you and I have signed plenty of them by more mainstream groups, as well as sent individual letters.

Then they asked for money...

I tell you, they were quite clueless

They were a nice distraction though from the Join the GOP (who have not shown up for months now) crowd.
