6. no coal, no nukes, no oil -> no energy. period.
Yah - let's see how long you can run the U.S. on geothermal.

It's wonderful-warm-fuzzy to talk about how *bad* various energy sources are. It's not nearly as fun to talk about how we *should* get all the energy we need. And it's idiotically stupid to simply say "we'll be just fine not expending energy".

8. Can't build windmills or dams either...
No one wants windmills around them, or they don't want them killing birds. No one wants solar plants because they take up too much land to get the amount of power needed. No one wants dams because they kill fish...

Which leads us to hamster and wheels. I do believe it's the only solution.

10. NO HUMANS!!
I say we go back to the days where everyone used wild animal poop for heat and humans were dead by the age of 30. We can eat any animals And we can't farm any veggies either because farming rapes the earth and pollutes the streams.

Lets face it, the earth would benefit greatly if humans were extinct.
:sarcasm:

No matter who is President, Americans aren't going to be willing to pay more for green energy and they aren't going to use less energy to stop global warming.

14. Nor can green energy alone meet our power needs.
I wish it could, and it will have to one day, but let's work toward that realistically.

Educate yourselves. Stop being so ignorant. I can't believe DUers are so uninformed on this subject.

Nukes and coal are both lousy options, though coal is almost certainly unavoidable/un-resistable (till it runs out in the none too distant future).

Check out these sites. You have to read, people.
