But when it comes to gay rights, torture, civil liberties, healthcare reform, or dismantling the Wall Street Casino, it's perfectly acceptable for him to deflect on his campaign promises? The myth of change has certainly come to an end. It was a political ploy that I regret buying into, and I won't make the same mistake again.

Our troop commitment to Afghanistan is the wrong policy, but I know it's the beginning of an incremental escalation. And for what? To wage a senseless conflict that will only send thousands of young men and women to their graves prematurely. The Karzai government is a corrupt regime that we cannot hope to provide for. There is no path to victory, and It's going to be Vietnam all over again. I hope the warmongers here consider that. Or are they only interested in constructing more solemn memorials?

4. I think it has more to do with congress than him
To do this he basically doesn't need them.. He clearly hasn't been able to master the congress. There's no doubt out that. He clearly doesn't appear out and in front on many issues the Democratic voters really care about.
