Killin' Injuns...Killin' Iraqis.....
I read my history. Kirkuk and Mosul are no different than the Black Hills of the Dakotas, the Plains of Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming.
The way this story ends is that the killing continues unabated until the covert goals of empire are achieved.
And then one day Saddaams' skull will be dug up and shipped to Yale, yes?

2. Also don't forget
to punish the few remaining Iraqis if they speak their native language or do any of the ceremonies of their native culture. And don't allow them to practice their religion--then it would be like how the US has treated Native Americans.

3. You are correct. Arrogant, white men are 'made' to rule and given power by their god.

4. Your problem is that you have no FAITH in the essential DECENCY
of the White Man's culture...

5. Kirkuk and Mosul are entirely different from the American interior.

There's no comparison.

I don't exactly recall an Ojibwa/Sioux civil war, with Dakota and Lakota fighting for Sioux supremacy, with Blackfoot terrorists attempting to provoke the Cree into attacking the Cheyenne, all of which was started by a US attempt to overthrow an Ojibwa dictatorship in hopes of reforming the entire Great Plains into a US-friendly open market.

But yeah, I guess if you want to lump all the Iraqis into one group, and all the Indians into one group, and then want to simplify US political motives in both the 19th and 21st century to "killing swarthy people for empire," and then want to reduce Iraqi political motives to "noble resistance of the United States," then it's the exact same thing.

6. Actually, intertribal warfare was not uncommon, and the US did
everything it could to heighten it - we'd make treaties with one tribe, making them the 'good' indians and hire their warriors as scouts against the 'bad' indians. Happened all the time. Divide and conquer, just as we attempted to do in Iraq. We were never quite as good at it as the Brits, but we did try.

7. Certainly intertribal warfare existed. However--and this is crucial--
it was not the central aspect of the Great Plains situation, as it is in Iraq. Over in Baghdad, we're stuck in a firestorm unleashed through our own incompetence, and the government is trying to figure out how to stop it without losing face. The administration would love nothing more for the Iraqis to all settle down and start letting contractors build factories, refineries, and oil wells. I mean, we've attempted to exploit Iraqi divides, but always in a (misguided) attempt to stop violence, not to encourage killing. Each Iraqi or American death is a slap in the administration's face, even as they pretend it's not.

In the Great Plains, we were encouraging violence between tribes, in an attempt to expedite our military takeover. Totally without comparison. I mean, maybe there was a comparison during the first few weeks of the war, but not a bit after that.

8. Have we had our Little Big Horn moment yet?
I think the Iraqi's have had many repeats of their own Wounded Knee at this point.
