Anyone Notice the RW Noise Machine Has Gone Almost Silent?
Think back at how there was almost instantaneous RW Noise Response to any statement that questioned the White House, Bush or any other corrupt Repub.

You can hear the crickets now.... except for the critical comments of certain Repubs who can read the handwriting on the wall, and they are trying to get on the winning side of the issues before their next reelection campaign.

The silence is telling....

1. That is good.
I still see W/Cheney bumper stickers proudly displayed on cars although not nearly as many. Brother still has one. :eyes:
What I do see from repugs more than anything is their anger boiling to the surface. There's a fundie working in my department who's got a real hair trigger now. I can really sense the anger and hostility around this person.

3. Mark my wrods they will distance themselves from bush
and for those saying impeachmet or removal from office is not possible... read about Watergate, they also went silent before they went to 1600 (ironically Bush's dad) to tell Nixon that it was over

4. I haven't noticed that.
Around here the regulars. Boortz, Hannity, Rush etc on the radio are bloviating with their usual spew. I've seen no difference at all but that doesn't surprise me because none of them make any attempt to be a part of the reality based community.

11. Yep--same crap as usual
Just now with the MSM adding some more fuel to the fires.

I don't notice any difference...

5. Surrender.
Finally.

I honestly believe Bush's Iraq veto will be overturned. BushCo's house of cards is flat on the table.

6. They are kind of fractured
A guy I know is a very important fundraiser for the right, has
been for years. He is just disgusted at what Bush Lite has done
on many fronts, although he and I come to the same conclusion
from different directions. He even wrote a book called "Conservatives
Betrayed."

There is a definite difference between the wild-eyed fanatics who
will defend any wrong committed by Cheney/Bush, and continue to say
that any who disagree are libbruls and kommanists, and those whose
views are genuinely conservative but not totally divorced from reality.
My friend, whose name is Richard, is absolutely ballistic about the
budget deficit when their whole mantra is for fiscal responsibility.
The lying and deception on Iraq also plagues him, if not the concept
per se of removing Saddam. Richard is hard right, but no fan of Bush
Lite by any stretch, and will argue with Bushies as stiffly as he argues
with me.

So for the foreseeable future, there won't be any one solid voice from
the right. Oh, they'll find their voice as soon as we have a presidential
nominee. All those Swift Farters have been bored these past three years.
But for now, they are confronting the reality that their team hasn't
done a very good job on anything, and they are of many different minds
of how to improve things. If they get any more fractured, they'll begin
to look like the Democrats!

8. Not Only Crickets--Also The Sound of NO Democratic Voices
There;s no ring of authority, or leadership. That's why Harry Reid freaked us all out when he made a simple, declarative statement of judgment, instead of a waffle. It felt good, I bet. He should do it more often. Maybe get a trend going.

9. Unison vs Cacaphony
The rw noisemachine is still out there. They were just able to speak in unison before so their memes got picked up and repeated and repeated and repeated...

Now, I think there are so many things for them to try to counter (two congressmen's property (home, business) being searched by the FBI within days of each other; Gonzo lying again to congress; Iraq violence spiking in Baghdad; and so on and so on...) - that the rw noisemachine is shrieking - but shrieking loud, not coordinated messages so it just leads to a real shrill (and easier to dismiss) loud and because it sounds random (different shrill shrieks) - it comes off as cacaphony.

But Glen, Michael, Rush, Sean etc are still trying - they haven't gone away or got quiet - just no one but their diehard listeners are hearing them and fewer of their memes are being picked up and repeated by the msm.

10. Do not be fooled. They have just gone into hibernation.

They still are not doing their jobs even if they do allow a few damaging facts to reach the public.

They have gotten as much as they could hope for out of Bush and the war. It's time to close down for this round.

12. "I remember when you were the ONLY person in this school who hated Bush, but now EVERYONE hates him"
:7 That was a student at my son's school speaking to my son the other day. My son was derided unmercifully for being anti-war/anti-Bush, but stood his ground! I use to have students (6th, 7th & 8th graders) walk out of that school and HARASS me about my anti-Bush bumper sticker that cover the back of my car :) (I liked it because I knew I was right...I knew they'd learn, sooner or later)! Now? NO ONE likes the SOB and I haven't heard any snarky remarks for a long, long time. I DID have a parent walk up to my car window and compliment my Bumper Stickers. My son had a substitute teacher walk up to him a couple of weeks ago and say, "I saw the car you got into last night and I REALLY like the bumper stickers." His Social Studies teacher went on a mini-rant the other day about the tax cuts 'for the rich' and our current deficit/debt. I asked my son if he gave the guy a high 5 for me? He just chuckled. I said, "SEE! Your mother taught you well, didn't she?" *GRIN*... "yep"... knowing we were right all along. It's a good feeling. It really is.

The tide has turned and turned BIG.
