Anti-immigration students made VA Tech killer angry

Now we learn from MSNBC that racism and anti-immigration were one contributing factor in making Cho Seung-Hui snap.

His actions are not justifiable but it goes to show that bullying in school and racism and anti-immigration sentiments are two issues that need to be addressed.

My stand against illegal immigration and granting them amnesty has never driven a rational person to pull out guns and start shooting. Pull out words and start shouting, yes. This man was not rational. Any excuse would do.

2. I come down squarely on the side of immigrants and immigration,

but to imply that we should avoid discussions for and against immigration so that we don't set off someone who is mentally ill, is going too far. You could make the argument that we should avoid discussions of all contentious issues (Iraq, gay rights, abortion, etc.) so that we don't risk setting off a crazed individual.
