If you purchase a puppy from a pet store, chances are they come from a place like this:

Just to give you some insight into what you're seeing - I have several puppy mill rescue dogs - note how the dogs are standing on bare wire. Both of my mill rescue dogs have crippled feet from years of confinement in wire cages with no protection for their feet. Note how many of the dogs are listless, how many are in overcrowded cages, how not a single cage contains a toy or anything to chew.

Buying a dog from a pet store rewards people who run places like this. Please don't do it. Adopt from your local shelter or, if you're set on a purebred, investigate rescue groups for the breed you're interested in.

And I'll say as a native Missourian that I'm pissed and ashamed of my state. Baby Blunt has been a disaster for animal rights.
