Rip Off Recycle centers make it NOT WORTH RECYCLING

I am sick and tierd of tying to deal with these low lifes

They advertize a current recycle price of $.60 per lb. The market rate is $.72. But every time I send a worker down with a truck load of billet aluminum cut outs they start complaining and whineing why they can't give me the going rate. Why should I or any business put up with the frustration and hassel of attempting to do the right thing and recycle this crap if the scrap yards are run by nothing but low life shysters.

3. Doesn't market rate mean what price they sell it for, not what price they buy it for?

:shrug: They buy it from you for 60 cents and sell it for 72 cents, making a 12 cent profit. How could they make a profit by buying it for 72 cents and selling it for 72 cents?

Those places are really set up to cater to junkies stealing copper wire from street lights. "Here is $20 - now go get a fix"

4. Can you get $.72 for it anywhere else?

If so, then sell it to somebody who will pay you that.

If not take it to the rip off center and get your 60 cents. It's 60 cents more than you would get if you just threw it away

72 cents is only the market rate if YOU can sell it for that amount..
