It sucks to be a Republican.
I declare that as of today, the tide has turned and it officially now sucks to be a Republican, (Thank you, Alberto Gonzalez). So, assuming that Lieberman goes GOP, who in the Republican party can we now count on to come to the Dem side, or at least, become an Independent who will ca-cas with the Dems?

1. The Republicans I know say things like "I never liked Bush" but he was the
letter of two evils and when it totally sucks like now they say "well THEY all do that." OMG, they get to vote again. I plan on saying to them around the '08 election that if they voted for Bush,
I don't want to hear from them...they're not worthy.

4. Welcome Kathy.
Yes, they are saying that it's a Washington problem, though I'd like to believe that the Dems have been keeping their noses, mostly clean.

I don't think we've scratched the surface of the Republican corruption, but we get down to impeaching Cheney, then Bush, I think we'll go far in proving that this isn't just another, ordinary, Washington problem.

3. Lieberman could leave yesterday
and it wouldn't matter. The organizing rules assure the Democrats control through the term of this Congress. Take a hike Joe!

17. Not a chance.
Neither one would switch. Susan is up for re-election in '08, and Olympia! just got back in. If either one did, they'd never get enough votes to be elected county clerk, let alone Senator.

12. Thanks to these sucking Republicans...
It's shameful to be an American these days.

I hate what they've done to this country and how long we've let them do it.

15. Voices carry.
Edited on Fri Apr-20-07 07:26 AM by The Backlash Cometh
Okay, I cried after the 2000 election, and I was thunderstruck after the 2004. I'm just glad that Skinner and crew thought to come up with one place in internet heaven, where we could collectively cry together, and once we stopped crying, where we learned that our angry voices carried.
