Airline employees..check in

After watching the news this evening regarding "passengers' rights" I got to thinking...

A lot of what they have to complain about is legit...but a lot of those complaints are based upon issues that we have no control over...

I'd like to get a sense of how many of us are out there, and what we do for a living.

Personally, I'm a ground-pounder mechanic working in maintenance quality assurance...been turning wrenches or watching the operation in civilian flight for 23 years...

Flight operations. We work in an industry the public loves to hate and totally does not understand. I once got into an argument with some people who were outraged because it cost them a couple hundred bucks to fly to LAX, and I asked them whether they could drive there for that. Those cheap tickets are being paid for by airline employees these days.

2. I'm thanking you airline folk

I'm a frequent flier who plans ahead, pays attention to details, is quiet and courteous while travelling and have not only had no major problems, but been given several breaks by the airline folk. I think what y'all do is amazing! GOOD WORK!
