Hillary launches Attack against Obama and Edwards
Hillary's camp released a memo to a bunch of reporters stating that Both Obama and Edwards campaigns are stalled or falling just as questions regarding her high negatives were being asked.

Funny how Obama sends out a classy note regarding Clinton's campaign Saturday and she is just about attack.

Here is the story: thread from Raw Story:

1. If they are gonna start this early with the negative attacks against their
own -- I'm turning off the news channels earlier than I expected.

2. It's going to be a long campaign season, and I just don't feel anybody represents the poor
Dennis Kucinich's policies are more to my liking. At least John Edwards bothers talking about poverty in America. I was told the "conventional wisdom" is that we talk about the middle class instead of the poor.

10. How about both
of them? The very Poor and the Middleclass are getting the short shift in bush's corporatefascist America.

17. It's sad but the people who could benefit most from the political
system are too busy working just to survive to take part in it!

"conventional wisdom" might be right but it sucks big time!

3. Psst--a little advice---
Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 08:12 PM by rocknation

ATTACK THE RETHUGS, HIL!

Or at least wait a few more weeks--their campaigns aren't much older than yours. Can't you tell that such a statement isn't even rational? You're directly quoted as mentioning Kerry's campaign--you seem to be sharing his inability to tell when you're getting obviously bad advice.

6. Her approach will be to divide and conquer
that's all....no sustance to the lady....buy her a one way ticket back to the Senate where she belongs and can do the most good.

She better thank her lucky stars that Obama and Edwards are gentlemen and won't bring up Whitewater or Vince Foster or a host of other 'malfeasance' issues she has buried in HER back yard.

27. Whitewater? Vince Foster?
so, you believe the rightwing when they bring up these topics- even though she has been investigated up and down about the issues and not found liable in any way?

Enjoy your stay...

5. Is there really a necessity for going negative this early in the game?
Personally, I'd rather they never went negative at all, especially in the primaries, because it just makes the repuke's job easier in the general election.

And I'm wondering how many of these attacks that are alledged (I'm thinking of the Obama school story now)really did come from Hillary Clinton and not from Karl Rove.

9. Yeah, this is going to be ugly
and I have a feeling it will mostly be coming from Hilly. I just can't picture Obama going negative and I don't remember Edwards being negative except maybe with the rethugs.

It's not a repug story. It originally came from Raw Story and HRC's own
staff were being open about it. Passing out the memo and talking to reporters about this.
It's true

If they want her to look strong and tough, the Hillary camp should go after the real enemy--Bush and his Rethugs.

12. READ the article.
SHE does no such thing.

If you really squench your eyes up tight and tilt your head a bit to the right - you just MIGHT be able to think that possibly the guy speaking could remotely be "attacking". But only if you really want to believe that.

jeesh.

20. A Newsday piece of trash hit on Hillary
If you read the actual quotes all Hillary's people are doing is calling attention to a poll that was very favorable to her, and pointing out that the other candidates aren't as well tested. Those are both points in Hillary's favor which are well within fair play.

Newsweek twisted the whole thing to make it look like a savage attack.

Here's how Newsweek put it:

"Obama isn't tough enough to withstand GOP attacks in 2008."

Here's what was really said:

"Some of the commentators look at the ratings of people who have not yet been in the cross-fire, and say they might have a better chance. Recent history shows the opposite."

This kind of RW hit piece trash is coming out a mile a minute right now.
