4. Didn't something similar happen to someone at the last big vote?
Why do I rememember someone being flown on Air Force One (well, maybe not Air Force One, but some government plane) so they could get back in time for the vote? Am I making this up?

5. Sherrod Brown's mother died. They held the vote open so he could attend her funeral.
It was the final vote for the Stimulus.

It was a profile in courage, not a conspiracy.
