Seriously, I try really hard not to "hate" anyone, but for some reason I absolutely hate the guy -- more so than I do Bush, Cheney, Rove, etc. To me, there's absolutely nothing redeemable about Giuliani. He's annoying, corrupt, crass, hypocritical and a vile fearmonger.

I really don't know why he brings out these feelings in me, but I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has the same reaction. Maybe it's because his previous positions and statements indicate that he really does know better, maybe it's because he continues to garner respect that he clearly doesn't deserve, or maybe it's because he ruined the World Series for me as a Yankees fan.

Grrrr!!!!

1. He's an angry man, from the city, with lots of axes to grind
Good reason to not like him (not the city part, but ANGRY MEN from the city are assholes)

"This ship pulled in without a sound
The faithful captain long since cold
He kept his log till the bloody end
Last entry read "Rats in the hold.
My crew is dead - I fear the plague..."

4. I started laughing when I read your post
I've never met another person(virtually or otherwise)until now. Your description was extremely apt, and I raise you two with unctious and self serving. He is such a political "tool" and it is so obvious. That staged phone call from his wife when he was talking to the NRA was so obviously a set up! I've never seen a public person get as much credit as Rudy, for not only doing nothing, but doing nothing as loudly. What a jerk. I enjoyed watching his undoing in last elections polls almost as much as the Republicans losing. It's hard to watch a patsy talk tough. Kudos on the post!

5. For me, that intensity is reserved for Cheney..
who, if there is such a thing as pure, unadulterated evil, has him as the poster child. But, my disdain for Giuliani is limitless.

who is not very popular right now.... and though i realize the terrible situation he is in right now, but he isn't helping himself very much with the license plate crap. at least be honest about why you are doing it!! don't pretend it is because of reflective paint. it's about money. so friggin say that's what it's about!! but i digress.... i don't want a governor noun, verb, 9-11!!

13. He's one of the greatest actors of his era
Edited on Tue Nov-17-09 07:32 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
In the moments after September 11th, he turned in a brilliant performance, unfastening his tie like he'd just run into a burning building, walking on the tips of his toes like he was a leopard about to pounce on a terrorist, and waving at and shouting orders to people just off camera who really weren't there.
