The Stupak Antidote
This evening a wonderful, outspoken 74 year-old lady from Indiana called into the Malloy Show. She suggested presenting "The Lorena Bobbit Amendment" as a response to the Honorable Congressman from Michigan.

In recognition of the fact that many, many men DO support a woman's right to privacy, I support her idea, BUT only for the loser males who vote to put Stupak in the final health care legislation.

2. I suggested that the other day here on DU-- didn't mention lorena though.
I think the office of capital physicians (or whatever that cute little congressional medical office is called) should be on standby the day of the vote, ready to perform the surgery right there. After all, it is basically an outpatient procedure.

as for any women who vote for it--they have to donate an amount equal to the cost of a vasectomy to PP-- this amount to be deducted from their checks.

3. Sounds about right to me
Lorena Bobbit - a name that still can strike fear in the hearts of many.

4. I am confused, are you talking about vasectomies or removal of the, er, unit?
Lorena Bobbitt cut it off.

Is that what the 74 year old lady was suggesting?

11. No, she didn't. Tossed it into a field. Where it was later found and reattached.
I have often wondered if anything crawled into it while it was on the ground.

13. I wonder, had they been camping, and a campfire was going, and a stick available...
Tossed it into a field.

I'm impressed that anyone found it.

Even more that anyone LOOKED for it.

12. Well if she said Bobbitt, I don't know that Lorena did vasectomies, so, probably...
...would this be done in the senate chambers without anesthesia?

:fear:

14. Works for me; I'm pretty pissed off about Stupak. When are the Dems going to learn?
You don't negotiate with Stalinists -- they aren't listening and they don't give an inch.

The idjits who wanted to add the Stupak Amendment fought like crazy to have it attached to the bill -- and then they by God voted against the bill anyway. So what was the point of the Democrats acceding to this abomination?!

So yeah: Bobbit in the chambers without anesthesia. :grr:

Hekate
