3. 90% of Americans sent the troops to Afghanistan

and 90% of DUers have spent the last 8 years complaining that Bush took his eye off the ball in Afghanistan in order to fight the wrong war in Iraq - so let's not forget that in this equation.

At least those of us who elected warmongers, or who elected those in thrall to warmongers...or those willing to go along with whatever.

When we say to a vet, "Thank you for your service," mot of us should probably add, "and by the way, sorry for ruining your lives, and forcing you to kill unnecessarily."

Fortunately,because of places like DU and those who post here,more and more people are waking up to the fact that the wars are not about 'protecting our freedoms' but about advancing corporate interests.
